General information
This information is to try and help guests understand more about how Organig Parc operates ("house rules" etc.), what standards can be expected and what is included in the price.

Cottage details
The property summaries aim to give an accurate description of each cottage (including sleeping capacity) and are illustrated with appropriate photographs. We are happy to give more information about the cottages, their situation and location, and any other details over the phone.

Arrival & departure times
Bookings usually run from Saturday to Saturday and access to the cottage for guests is from 3pm on the day of commencement of the holiday hire until 10am on the day of departure. With the larger properties the arrival time may be 4pm to allow time for adequate cleaning and preparation; details will be given in the booking confirmation. The hiring party will be responsible for any cost incurred as a result of delayed departure.

Standards
All the cottages at Organig Parc are inspected and star graded by the Wales Tourist Board (WTB) in accordance with their criteria. The star grading recognises that the accommodation has met the rigorous quality standards of the WTB and that Organig Parc has agreed to comply with the WTB Code of Conduct.

Equipment
All cottages have Rayburn-Aga range cookers that give constant heat for cooking and hot water. There is also a dishwasher, fridge and washing machine in each property along with pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils. There is a colour TV / DVD player in nearly all the rooms except bathrooms.

Fuel
All fuel (oil, electricity, firewood) is provided free of charge .

Linen
All bedding - organic cotton bed sheets and pillow cases, woollen blankets, pillows, bedspreads - is included , as are organic cotton towels (2 per person). During two week bookings fresh bedding and towels will be provided on the intermediate Saturday of the stay.

Laundry and clothes drying facilities
Each cottage has its own washing machine and an indoor clothes drying horse. There is also a shared outdoor clothes line.

Cots, highchairs and stairgates
1 cot per cottage is available free of charge; a cot mattress is also provided but guests must bring their own bedding for the cot. Similarly, 1 highchair per cottage and stair gates are also available free of charge. Please advise at the time of booking if a cot, highchair or stair gate is required during your stay.

Smoking
Smoking is NOT ALLOWED inside any of the cottages . If guests smoke outside they are kindly requested to dispose of their cigarette butts in a rubbish bin to help keep the site tidy.

Losses and damages
Losses and damages that occur during the holiday hire period must be paid for by the hiring party. Every effort is made prior to guests' arrival to ensure that everything is in place and an inventory list that guests are asked to check and countersign is provided. Should something be missing it is in your own interest to notify Organig Parc staff as soon as possible so that matters can be rectified.

Special Needs
Unfortunately none of the properties has been designed specifically for people in wheelchairs. However, the cottage called Ty Newydd has a bedroom and a bathroom on the ground floor and no stairs or steps between these rooms and the lounge and the kitchen / diner and may therefore be suitable for elderly guests or those with limited mobility difficulties. Please check at the time of booking that the cottage chosen is suitable for people with particular health or mobility requirements.

Parking
Each cottage has at least one dedicated private parking space and there is further secure parking nearby on-site.

Dogs
A maximum of 2 dogs per cottage are welcome at Organig Parc at a cost of £25 per week or short break per dog. This is on the understanding that they are the responsibility of their owners and must be kept under control at all times. Dogs must be house-trained, wormed and free of fleas. They are not allowed on the furniture, in the bedrooms or upstairs in the cottages and owners must bring their own baskets / bedding for their pets. Dogs should not be left unsupervised on the premises at any time and must never be left alone in the property. Owners must clean up after their animals - any fouling of lawns must be removed immediately and all pet hairs must be well cleared up before leaving. Unfortunately no pets other than dogs are allowed.

Self-catering in the countryside
The cottages at Organig Parc are situated adjacent to the working organic farm of Carnguwch, which is in a rural location with the nearest (small) shop and pub about 1.5 miles away in the village of Llithfaen . The nearest supermarket is about 15 mins drive away in Pwllheli. Therefore, please remember that the holiday is self-catering and, although a Welcome Pack containing some vegetables and other foodstuffs is provided, you will need to bring provisions with you. Similarly it must be remembered that there are noises and smells that are associated with the countryside and these might be different to what people are used to. We would also ask guests to acknowledge that there are certain risks associated with farm machinery and animals and therefore realise that the farmyard and outbuildings are out of bounds (these areas will be clearly signed as such).

Booking Terms and Conditions
Formation of Contract
The contract is formed between you and Organig Parc (referred to as "we" or "us") for the provision of short-term holiday rental of cottages when we issue a booking confirmation form. We reserve the right to refuse a booking prior to issuing a booking confirmation form. We will provide such short term rental subject to these terms and conditions of booking. Your statutory rights are not affected by anything contained in these terms and conditions.

Deposit
A deposit equal to 1 / 3 (one third) of the full amount payable is required for each cottage booking. The deposit is non-refundable, but if you are forced to cancel the booking please let us know as soon as possible, because if a replacement booking can be secured your deposit minus a £35 administration fee will be returned.

The balance
The balance due must reach us at least 6 weeks before the holiday hire start date, otherwise your booking will be lost and the deposit forfeit.

Payment for last minute bookings
To book a cottage less than 6 weeks before the holiday hire start date the full amount payable is due at the time of booking. The payment is non-refundable.

Change of holiday dates
This is not ordinarily accepted but in exceptional circumstances a change of holiday dates may be accepted where possible, subject to a minimum administration fee of £25

Size and party
The number of guests stipulated for each cottage must not be exceeded under any circumstances, and only those listed on the booking form may occupy the premises. Infants (i.e. those 2 years old or under) will not count as guests as far as numbers are concerned but those 3 years of age and over will.

Signatory
The person who completes the booking form must be over 18 years of age and realise that in doing so they agree to accept responsibility for the hiring party and accept the conditions of hire on behalf of all those listed.

Hirer obligations
Hirers are expected to take reasonable care of the property and ensure that it and all the equipment in it is left clean and in good working order. It is also expected that Organig Parc staff shall be allowed reasonable access to the property should it be necessary.

Breach of Contract
If there shall be a breach of any of these conditions by any of the hiring party the owners (or their agents) reserve the right to re-enter the property and terminate the tenancy without prejudice to the other rights and remedies of the owner.

Refunds in the event of unavailability of the cottage
Should for any reason beyond our control (e.g. fire, vandalism etc) the cottage not be available for the date booked then any charges paid in full by the hiring party will be refunded in full. The hiring party will then have no further claim against Organig Parc.

No liability
Organig Parc cannot accept liability for any injury, accident, damage, loss, expense or inconvenience, whether to person or property including cars, which members of the hiring party or any other persons may suffer or incur that arise out of the holiday hire, or is in any way connected with it.

Complaints procedure
We hope that your holiday will be an enjoyable experience and that the need to complain should not arise during your stay. However should it be necessary to complain we would ask that complaints be made to the Manager during the stay so that they can be investigated immediately. In no circumstances can compensation be made for any complaints that are made after the holiday hire has ended, or where the hiring party has not allowed Organig Parc to try to put matters right during the stay.

Cancellation Insurance
We would advise hiring parties to take out insurance cover against the eventuality of cancellation or curtailment of the holiday hire, and also to provide security against damage, losses and injury

Price changes
Organig Parc reserves the right to amend prices quoted due to errors and / or omissions or changes in the VAT rate. |
